What is Kubefirst Pro?

Kubefirst Pro is an expansion of the Konstruct Kubefirst platform. Kubefirst began as an open source cloud native platform that gives users application delivery with automated infrastructure and configuration workflows, fine-grained user access using Vault secrets management, and support of GitHub or GitLab integrations and Argo.

Built on the same functionality as our open source product, Kubefirst Pro provides a User Interface (UI) for management that offers:

  • An opinionated pre-built UI for Cluster building with minimal steps
  • A single pane of glass for visibility into your clusters
  • Application support through a GitOps catalog

What is the difference between Kubefirst and Kubefirst Pro?

The key differences between Kubefirst (our open source product) and Kubefirst Pro are the capabilities offered through the Kubefirst UI. Access to the UI is free for all Kubefirst users and includes your management cluster. You can add an additional workload cluster by upgrading to Business for just $0.33 per cluster/per hour.

For customers who are interested in using a UI to do more, Kubefirst Pro can manage and deploy your cluster infrastructure and applications. You have access to our full GitOps catalog to quickly add tools to your clusters or fleets with the push of a button.

For the full UI capabilities in the Kubefirst Pro experience we recommend upgrading to either our Business or Enterprise tier. Kubefirst Pro at the Business tier offers one management cluster, and up to 10 workload clusters for a single cloud. For support of more than one cloud or for more than 10 clusters reach out to us for details on our Enterprise tier.

How does pricing work?

Kubefirst Pro includes a free option to explore the UI with your management cluster. Business pricing is at $0.33 per cluster an hour for up to 10 clusters in a single cloud. For Enterprise, or users with more than 10 clusters, or for any 10 clusters spread across 2 or more clouds, get in touch with us for customized pricing.

Why GitOps?

GitOps is an evolution of Kubernetes that provides a Git-based framework for infrastructure and application management for improved architectural transparency, security, and disaster recovery. Check out our GitOps & GitOps Catalog docs to learn more about how Kubefirst uses GitOps.
